U-INVENT 7: Innovation for safer future

U-Invent 7 is a Science and Technology Innovation competition organized by UNICEF Vietnam in collaboration with the VN-UK Institute for Research and Executive Education (VNUK), part of the series of activities of the Healthy City for Adolescents project phase 2 in Da Nang.

U-Invent 7 “Innovation for a Safer Future” is expected to encourage, inspire for creative solutions towards a safe, comprehensive life, integrating modern science and technology.

Detailed information:

• High school students nationwide
• Draft schedule: From October 6, 2024 to January 5, 2025 (including 05 rounds and 02 training sessions on Sundays during this period)
  • Until 11/10/2024: Register
  • 13/10/2024: Kick-off Day
  • 27/10/2024: Solution Day
  • 17/11/2024: Prototype Day
  • 08/12/2024: Semifinal
  • 05/01/2025: Final and Prize Announcement

Benefits of participating in U-Invent 7:

• Interact with and learn from young people who share same passion for science and technology and desire to create more value for the community
• Accompany experts in the fields of science, technology and socio-economic throughout the competition
• Use VNUK’s Maker Innovation Space with full modern equipment such as printed circuit boards, 3D printers, laser cutters, etc to manufacture products
• Develop innovative products as a launch to prepare for bigger competitions

Product evaluation criteria:

• Novelty and creativity of the project
• Technical and economic efficiency
• Practical applicability of the prototype
• Project development via different rounds
• Presentation to jury

All contestants from the Solution Day will receive certificate of participation
