Your future leader – Leadership and debate skills training for more than 120 Da Nang youths
More than 120 students from secondary and high schools aged 12-19 in Da Nang participated in the training “𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙜 𝙁𝙪𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙇𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙚𝙧” from July 16-20, 2024, which starts the Skills Training Series for Da Nang Children and Adolescents. Launch of Youth On! Hackathon 2023
We’re thrilled to share that over 60 enthusiastic young minds have joined us, presenting a range of innovative solutions to promote the mental well-being of adolescents and youths. Especially, the competition is a part of the series of activities in honor of World Children’s Day this year in Viet Nam, with a key focus on mental health.
Creating solutions for a better word: have you ever thought?
The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has collaborated with the Vietnamese Institute for Research and Training – England (VNUK), Da Nang University and Da Nang Youth Union to organize the 6th season of the U-Invent competition in Da Nang City. The competition is part of the Healthy City for Adolescents project (HCA) and is themed “Bridging innovation for a better life – Leaving no one behind”. U-Invent 6 aims to provide a platform for young adults to develop their creative thinking skills and enhance their sense of responsibility towards the community.
Join the My City Voice program
Leading up to the 11th World Urban Forum in Poland from June 26-30, Fondation Botnar, the sponsor for the HCA project in Da Nang, is organizing a media campaign called #MyCityMyVoice for youth and young adults. This is an opportunity for you to share your ideas and ask questions to experts and world leaders about urbanization and city planning.
Upgrading two playgrounds in Da Nang
Children are playing at a UNICEF-supported newly renovated playground in Da Nang City as life normalcy is restoring in the coastal area. The playground, launched today and designed by children and adolescents aged 12-18 from a recent design contest entitled “Green Playground Inner City”, is a token answering the local children’s and adolescents’ call to have more public spaces and playgrounds in the city.
