After more than three months of anticipation, the first round of the U-Invent 6 Science and Technology Creativity Competition will officially commence this Sunday, October 22, 2023, at the Vietnam Institute for Research and Training – Older Brother.

A team of more than 200 volunteers, consisting of Vietnamese experts, students, and international students from 11 different time zones, operate STEAM for Vietnam. In order to create better and safer playgrounds for children and adolescents, HCA Da Nang is looking for a contractor to upgrade 2 playgrounds in Da Nang, Viet Nam. This assignment is expected to be conducted in 2 districts of Da Nang, including Cam Le and Lien Chieu district. An experience-sharing conference is important to evaluate the implementation of the Child-Friendly City Initiative and Healthy Cities for Adolescents Project. It is involved by leaders and experts from ministries, selected cities as well as key stakeholders so as to review the progress of projects and share lessons learned together.

The contest was held by the Vietnam National Institute of Educational Sciences and the United Nations Children’s Fund with the target of improving knowledge about sex education for students.

Over 3 weeks joining the “Leadership Skills Training Courses for Da Nang Children and Adolescents” from September 11 to October 3, 2021, 79 students aged 10 to 18 years old from many schools have acquired essential knowledge and skills such as presentation, teamwork, research, pressure and time control.

On 4th November 2021, the Da Nang Youth Union coordinated with the Healthy Cities for Adolescents project (UNICEF Vietnam) to organise a training program of school psychological counselling, and techniques for empathic listening and emotion management. The training program took place on November 4 and 5, 2021, helping to improve a better understanding of the importance of school psychology counselling in high schools and thereby, gradually creating a task force to promptly recognise and resolve conflicts among students.
