“GREEN STEM INNOVATION 2025”: SPARKING CREATIVITY, NURTURING GREEN ASPIRATIONS
Da Nang, September 21, 2025 – Within the framework of the Healthy Cities for Adolescents (HCA) – Phase II stem project in Da Nang, funded by the Botnar Foundation and managed by Ecorys, UNICEF Viet Nam, in collaboration with the Vietnam–UK Institute for Research and Executive Education (VNUK), University of Da Nang, successfully organized the STEM Course “Green STEM Innovation 2025” at the Maker Innovation Space – VNUK.
Approaching STEM Education Through Innovative and Creative STEM project
The course attracted 37 young participants, including 27 students from Hope School – a boarding school for children who lost their parents due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Here, 22 boys and 15 girls had the opportunity to both learn and innovate for a greener future.
Under the theme “STEM Creativity for a Green Future”, the course not only provided knowledge on climate change, clean energy, and sustainable development but also developed essential skills such as Design Thinking, teamwork, presentation, and problem-solving.
Hands-On STEAM Experience – Discover and Create with Innovative STEM Products at Interactive Stations
During the STEAM (Science – Technology – Engineering – Arts – Mathematics) experience session, participants enthusiastically joined five practice stations: 🔬 Science (Biochemistry): Exploring fascinating reactions and real-life applications.
➗ Mathematics: Strengthening logical thinking and applying math to problem-solving.
🤖 Technology (AI): Learning about the applications of artificial intelligence in daily life.
⚡ Engineering (Electronics): Hands-on practice with components, circuits, and technical applications.
🎨 Arts: Sparking creativity and integrating arts into STEM solutions.
Learners who complete two full sessions and participate in the competition will receive a Certificate of Completion for the Green STEM Innovation 2025 Course & Contest.
