{"id":16136,"date":"2025-11-16T14:39:10","date_gmt":"2025-11-16T07:39:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hcadanang.com\/en\/uncategorized\/ky-hop-thu-nhat-hoi-dong-tre-em-da-nang-sau-sap-nhap\/"},"modified":"2025-11-26T16:40:45","modified_gmt":"2025-11-26T09:40:45","slug":"first-session-of-the-danang-children-council-after-the-administrative-merge","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hcadanang.com\/en\/tin-tuc\/first-session-of-the-danang-children-council-after-the-administrative-merge\/","title":{"rendered":"First session of the Da Nang City Children&#8217;s Council after the Administrative merge: Connecting and advancing equal development for every child"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Da Nang, 16 November 2025 \u2013 The Da Nang City Children\u2019s Council convened its first Session following the administrative merger of the former Quang Nam Province and former Da Nang City, under the theme <em><strong>\u201cConnecting and promoting equal development for all children.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event was organized by the <a href=\"http:\/\/thanhdoandanang.org.vn\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Da Nang Youth Union<\/a> in collaboration with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unicef.org\/vietnam\/vi\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">UNICEF Viet Nam<\/a>, within the framework of the Child-Friendly Cities Initiative (<a href=\"https:\/\/hcadanang.com\/tin-tuc\/hanh-trinh-thuc-hien-du-an-cfci-hca-ii-da-nang\/\">CFCI<\/a>) and the Healthy Cities for Adolescents Project \u2013 Phase II (<a href=\"https:\/\/hcadanang.com\/\">HCA-II<\/a>) 2023\u20132026, funded by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fondationbotnar.org\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Foundation Botnar<\/a> and managed by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ecorys.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ecorys<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Session brought together 67 child delegates (14 boys and 53 girls), aged 10\u201315, representing more than 450,000 children across 93 wards and communes citywide. The merger has increased both the number and diversity of vulnerable groups of children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He noted:<br><em>\u201cThe children\u2019s recommendations extend beyond the urban centre to newly merged wards and communes, including rural and mountainous areas \u2013 where children need greater support to ensure equitable development.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Strengthening the organizational structure of the Da Nang Children\u2019s Council for the 2025\u20132026 term<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Ahead of the Session, the Da Nang City Children\u2019s Council Election Day was held on 15 November 2025, where 15 outstanding candidates were nominated to run for the positions of Chairperson, Vice-Chairpersons, and Standing Members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Under the election theme <em>\u201cIf you were the Chairperson of the Da Nang Children\u2019s Council for 2025\u20132026, what model or programme would you introduce to support children\u2019s healthy and equitable development?\u201d<\/em>, candidates demonstrated strong vision, confidence, and a sense of social responsibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Based on the delegates\u2019 votes, the organizational structure of the Da Nang City Children\u2019s Council for the 2025\u20132026 term was established, comprising: one Chairperson, three Vice-Chairpersons, and six Standing Members.
