“Junior Researcher” course is part of the Skills Training Series for Young People aged 14 – 18 in Secondary and High Schools, co-organized by UNICEF Vietnam and the VN-UK Institute for Research and Executive Education (VNUK), Danang University, to foster skills and encourage comprehensive development for Da Nang youth.


The course focuses on: Developing topics, Data collection methods, Data analysis and processing, Writing scientific reports, Practicing presentation and defending skills. The activity aimd to help students get to know scientific research methods, develop critical and creative thinking, explore their own research potential, and connect with the scientific community.

Junior researchers studied and researched together to finalize the reports, participated in the exhibition to exchange, learn from each other and find the winner.

The final results went to:

🎉 Natural Science:

1️⃣First Prize: project Factors affecting the number of people participating in public transport in Da Nang

2️⃣Second Prize: project The impact of urbanization on air quality in Hanoi from 2019 to 2023

3️⃣Third Prize: project What does traffic congestion in Da Nang causes to the environment?

4️⃣And 5 Encouragement Prizes with different topics on natural science and sustainable development.

1️⃣First Prize: project The impact of family on the career orientation of adolescents

2️⃣Second Prize: project Negative words of parents and children’s psychology

3️⃣Third Prize: project Gratitude, what is happening to the gratitude of young people?

4️⃣And 3 Encouragement Prizes with different topics on social and behavioral sciences.

💌 Breakthrough ideas, moments of dedication to researches or new friendships, have painted a picture of a brilliant summer with passion and talent. This will also launch and open up more development opportunities for young junior researchers in the future.
